Hurricane Dorian Relief

In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, the Salty Cali team wants to aid relief and recovery to the Bahamas and the survivors to help rebuild their lives.

We will be donating 100% of profits from our new Shelter Shell directly to Global Giving’s Disaster Recovery Network.  We chose this beautiful and dainty cone shell because it reminds us of the resourcefulness of Hermit crabs, which are symbols of patience, community, adaptation, and resilience.

100% of sales directly fund Global Giving’s Disaster Recovery Network, a vetted and top ranked disaster relief fund helping the Bahamas residents recover and rebuild in short and long term.

The Global Giving’s Disaster Recovery Network is in need of help to fund their support and recovery efforts on the ground. According to ‘Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund’, it will “(…) support people impacted by Hurricane Dorian’s storm system in the form of emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents recover and rebuild” (GlobalGiving’s Disaster Recovery Network).

As of today, September 5th, $401,614 has been raised with about $1, 598,386 to go to reach the total goal of 2 million dollars (GlobalGiving’s Disaster Recovery Network). We want to support and assist the survivors and communities that have been devastated by this hurricane.

Salty Cali encourages you all to help and contribute in any way you can!
